We brought home baby "Chocolate" who had been orphaned at the ranch. He's a really mellow mannered calf, never bawling or crying out. He seems to like it here OK.
We almost brought him a friend to give this mom a break, but another adoptive mommy was able to take one of the twins.
It gets pretty interesting around here. The other day Clyde said, "Mommy can I just mix liquids?" So, I gave him an assortment of liquids - milk, water, vinegar, oil, orange juice, dish soap - and he mixed away making "discoveries". We even added some frosting for fun. It was messy and I think they probably even learned something.
