Nuts

So we were at the corral yesterday and Clyde and Alice and I were just one pen away from this guy...

The kids were a little scared because he was intently staring at us, but I told them we were OK.  They didn't really believe me, but it was good because they were being vigilant and careful.  Then at dinner, Clyde said, "That big red bull had the hugest nuts!"  It was so funny.  This Spring we had a lot of talks about "nuts" - he wanted to know why we cut the bull calves' nuts off (so I explained about breeding programs).  Then he wanted to know why we didn't cut people's nuts off.  Then he wanted to know why Grandpa Harry likes to eat nuts.  I spent a lot of time talking about nuts.... we get a lot of impromptu science lessons around here.
