Wow! It's hard to believe that we've got a 5 year old already! Clyde wanted a dinosaur party with an Ankylosaurus cake ("Mommy, not just with a dinosaur on top. In the SHAPE of a dinosaur!"). So, we did a "Dino Dig". I got a bunch of dinosaur skeletons and buried 55 of them in the sand. At first the kids had a hard time finding them but they perservered and everyone got one or two to take home. We also had a table with dinosaur art stuff and a T-Rex pinata, which was a challenge with so many kids. I gave Clyde the choice of inviting school friends or cousins. He, of course, chose both. My count put us at about 31 kids and 28 adults! Clyde had a great time and I think his friends did too. With so many people, I planned on only having snacks, but in the end Ben made rolls and I baked a ham so we pretty much served a meal. We just don't know how to entertain simply I guess.
Clyde is a kind, gentle, fun loving boy who is a great helper. We're so happy to have such a nice kid!
The day after his party, Clyde lined up some of his cool dinosaur presents and said, "Mommy take a picture!" It's a little blurry, but he was so excited about all his presents.
