Meet the Poults...

Did you know the word for a baby turkey? I didn't. Then Ben got me four baby turkeys for my birthday. Ben was calling them the turks, and I was thinking along the gosling lines and hoping they were called gobblings or some such moniker. Turns out they're called poults. Now I know. Well, Clyde has named these poults Mumsy, Papa Gayle, Janelle and Harrison. Elliott and Tyson got a reprieve. They are growing so fast. The answer to the question lurking in the back of your heads is yes... we do plan on eating them. Ben's building them a little turkey castle because they're outgrowing the cage he built for them when they were tiny. They are now about the size of a small chicken.
