August 2013

Clyde did a lot of fishing in August.  I told him that once he could swim there and back in a pool without touching I'd let him fish in the ditch by himself.  When he did it I regretted saying that because I was scared to let him go.  But, he did a great job.  He took care of his tackle, caught most of his bait (he was OK with a bad grasshopper year!) and caught a lot of fish.  We also went out to the old Cruzen fish pond which was a lot of fun.

We visited Frank and saw his fun project at the Aikman.

We got pie cherries from the Makis and I made this.....

Britta and her boys came for a visit and we fished some more.

Alice and Clyde continued to enjoy their summer reading program.

And there were a number of beautiful sunsets and unfortunately some big fires.
