4th of July

July 2nd we had dinner at Raspberry Ranch with JG, Mumsy, Rollins and our family for the annual summer birthday dinner. July 3rd we met Mumsy at the Cascade Thunder Mountain Days parade. We saw our cousins Heather, Maria and Cade on a float they made and our friends Margaux, Cassidy and McKenzie on another float (a "horseless carriage"). July 4th we went to the Donnelly Boat Docks in the evening for a barbecue and what was supposed to be the fireworks. Earlier in the day they had buried a bunch of toys in sand for kids to dig up so we did a lot of digging and found a few things. There was a band with dancing. The sunset was beautiful, but there was a little wind so the Donnelly firemen pow-wowed for way to long and we wound up leaving at 10:45 when there was still no definite start time. About 15 minutes later we watched the fireworks from our upstairs windows.
