We hiked up the hill at the Stringer Place today and on the way down, Clyde exclaimed, "Gold, I found gold!" Well, it wasn't gold, but it was a sizable and very clear crystal (presumably quartz). Of course the rest of the way down we were all looking for another one, but it was a one and only on this outing. He also found part of a bird skeleton (a crow I think). Then we all went down to the creek and looked for cool rocks. We found a lot of different colors and shapes so it was a lot of fun.
About 10 days ago or so Clyde was jumping on the couch and said, "Mommy, this couch doesn't have very many gravity because look how high I can jump!" The kids assimilate ideas we talk about so quickly into their vernacular, but not always with one hundred percent understanding them.
