The view out our back windows across the yard really is lovely, especially when the sun is setting (and even more so when we don't have junk trucks parked on trailers back there).... The photo doesn't quite capture the vibrance. There were so many colors, peaches, yellows and purples. I can't quite find a setting on my camera that will really do a sunset justice. Up north I ran into the same thing. Suffice it to say every night we usually get to see something more beautiful than this sunset.
The kids like to talk about time now. So they always say "What time does the clock say?" or tell me "the clock says night night time" or "the clock says it's time for a bath." Each night when it starts to get dark, Alice usually says, "It's getting dark. It's night night time." If we're not home, she actually kind of says it in a worried tone, like we may not get home in time.
Alice is transitioning to a "big girl bed" right now. She escaped from her crib for the first time this week and a playpen at Mumsy's also. She is also experimenting with the potty but is still "too little enough." Because I can't keep her jailed, we're also transitioning away from naps because I just can't get her to stay in bed that time of day. At night it works, but not in the middle of the day.
