Poor Alice... the first day, the first turkey.... it was all too much. We had forgotten her baby and blankie at the Donnelly house and when she realized it, she was bereft. She and I took a special trip back and retrieved them. She was instantly relieved, but so tired I couldn't get her to wake up when we got back, so here she is, sleeping in her high chair while we get our first dinner in the house ready.
We've all been feeling a little like this lately. The thing about agriculture is that the work really never ends. There are always a lot of things that need done. Add moving and projects on top of that and it makes for a tiring summer.
